Northeast Historic Film "is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization founded in 1986.
Northeast Historic Film has
a large and growing collection of unique
moving-image materials relating to the history and culture of northern New England.
The organization is recognized for working with a community of citizens locally,
regionally, and throughout North America, who care for this historical resource
and are committed to developing its use and support.
Goals for the coming five-year period include completing renovation of the Alamo
Theatre as a study center and community cinema, planning and building a moving-image
conservation center consisting of a three-story cold storage building with curatorial
support services, developing educational programs, improving financial stability, and
making appropriate use of new access technologies."

Theatre ClubTuesday Night Dates has become one of the most popular extracurricular events at Northside! Last week, 17 of us took the Holly and Blossom trolley over to the Northside Junior College and watched the 7 o'clock Bowling for Columbine, the riveting, sometimes shocking sometimes funny documentary on the gun industry. Afterwards, we all gathered at the JC's cafe for pizza and discussions. No, you don't have to "have a date," silly! Everybody's invited. And of course the movies are less expensive on Tuesdays, even at the Imperial. Come join us! We're easygoing, and we stick together! |

6 Free Tickets Left from the generous gift The Savoy donated to Theatre Club this summer. All you have to do to claim a ticket is take the survey by Rockin to Vote, which takes all of about 15 minutes to fill out and we'll forward it to the sponsors. Hey, it doesn't obligate you to vote! You don't even have to be eighteen! All you have to do is read about our democracy and fill out the form. You'll be in good company! So far this fall, nearly 250 Northside students have pocketed free tickets from The Savoy and the Rockin to Vote campaign. |
